If you’ve been tired of seeing AI-generated videos on the platform, you will soon be able to reduce the number you see on your fyp 👏

TikTok is introducing a feature that will allow users to manage the topics they see on their feed, including seeing fewer AI videos.

And if you actually love that type of content, don’t worry, you will also be able to boost the amount of videos that you see every day. So it’s a win-win situation, really.

Listen to your consumers and provide a range of solutions 😉

2. Channel 4 Releases Disability Comms Guide 🌟

We’ve been talking about longer form content coming back for a long time, and Instagram is really taking it seriously now with their latest update.

While watching over one minute long videos isn’t for everyone, the team at Instagram shared that this update is aimed at giving users more creative freedom.

Will people be watching 20 minute long videos on Instagram? Or is YouTube the place for that?

The platform has been pushing short content for years, and while some users might be interested in longer form content, the way the app is built might only work for quick scrolls and punchy sound bites. What do you think about it? 🤔

4. New TikTok Stats On The Value of Influencer Campaigns 📈

Creator ads have a bonus 70% click-through rate and 159% engagement rate over non-creator ads. When posted to a creator's account, ads have an extra 59% engagement rate and 16% six-second VTR over those that aren't.

And while we’re on the topic of social media, we have some exciting new stats from the latest TikTok research, about the power of influencer marketing 🚀

Compared to non creator led campaigns, influencer marketing drives a 70% higher CTR and 159% higher engagement rate than non-creator ads for the same CPM.

It was exciting to see DOOH be the latest company to support the group of visually impaired sailors, as they prepare to compete this month at the World Sailing Inclusion Visually Impaired Championships in Oman.

This is a great example of companies that value inclusion and act on it, while supporting the community!

And good luck to the team 🙌

6. Trend Spotlight: If you knew me 🤳

This trend has become a way to be more vulnerable online and share things that only the closest people in your life would know, but brands could also make something fun with it by sharing their must-have products, or make it corporate with the things you love to see at work, like a beautifully organised spreadsheet.

7. Campaign Spotlight: Greyhounds As Pets x The Simpson 🏆

We’re going all the way to New Zealand for our campaign spotlight this week 🇳🇿

With the aim to shift perceptions and boost adoption rates, Special and Greyhounds as Pets NZ have created a series of billboards featuring The Simpson family and their beloved Santa’s Little Helper. The images include sentences like ‘Greyhounds are great for walks’ or ‘Greyhounds are great best friends’.

GAP’s national manager said: “Having Santa’s Little Helper champion our dogs is nothing short of extraordinary… this Christmas we’re asking Kiwis to open their hearts and homes.”

This holiday season you might want to swap the big presents for the big cuddly dogs.
