What is Social-First Media Production?

Social-first media production refers to the creation of media content designed specifically for social media platforms. Social-first content is optimised for the features and audience of the platform on which it is posted. This approach differs from traditional media production, where content is created for a specific channel and then repurposed for social media.

Purple Goat’s production team are able to make powerful video and image content for use in social media strategies, paid ads and influencer marketing campaigns.

The disabled community is the largest minority in the world.
Now is the time to social content that reflects that.

Why your Business needs a Social-first content production strategy

Aproximately 20% of the population identifying as having a disability and yet just 0.06% of adverts showcase disability- that’s an incredibly large disparity in representation that needs to be addressed. The largest minority in the world is not reflected in the social media content they see.

As the world’s first disability-focused marketing agency, Purple Goat are looking to change that. We seamlessly look to integrate disability representation, inclusion and accessibility in brand comms and social content. By partnering with disabled talent to create shareable, informative and engaging assets that complement brand strategies, whilst ensuring all are accessible by default.

By utilising our expertise in social media, we create content that captures real stories that are informative and engaging, as well as giving an authentic education around disability and inclusion. We collaborate with brands to ensure that their visual identity aligns with core narratives, and all social content utilises key accessibility best practices to guarantee brand messaging is inclusive to all.

Additionally, we ensure that disability inclusion is woven into every stage of our productions. From on-screen talent to the behind-the-camera team, we consult and work with the community throughout to ensure authenticity in our campaigns.

Social Media Content Creation FAQs

What is Influencer content and what does it look like?

Influencer content differs based on a number of variables, including: the creator, campaign, client and/or brand and the brief. Content ultimately should be authentic and be created in-line with the campaign brief and the creators own style.

Does Purple Goat only work with disabled influencers?

We predominantly work with disabled creators as we are always ensuring that brands are targeting and connecting with the community. But occasionally we will activate non-disabled creators on a campaign too! We typically work with people that are allies and advocates for inclusion, diversity and representation.

What social media platforms do you create content for?

We work across all social media platforms but it will vary depending on the campaign, client and brand.

What makes effective influencer content?

Authenticity! Long gone are the days of contrived ads peppering social media – for us finding individuals that have a natural affinity and story to share around a brand, product or service is key, and in turn creates the most engaging content, and best results for our clients.

How do you vet influencers?

When we are choosing to work with influencers/creators, there are a few different checks that we run to make sure that they is a natural fit for the brand and campaign. We’ll look at a few different metrics, your Purple Goat contact will be able to talk you through what we need and why we need it. We ultimately want to make sure that both the brand and all influencers and content creators are aligned on values and messaging, to make sure both are benefitting from collaborating.

Do we get to sign off on influencer content before sending live?

At Purple Goat, the client has as much oversight and control as they want – with full sign off on campaign creative, influencers, deliverables and schedule date before we get going.

Can I apply to be an influencer/content creator you work with?

Although we work with many creators across the world and many different campaigns, we are not a talent agency, so we don’t have any talent on our ‘books’. Instead, we play matchmaker and find the right talent for the right campaign!

Please feel free to follow our socials and contact us if you’re interested in working with us. We’ll keep your details for any suitable campaigns that come through, and if we think you would be a great fit for any project, we’ll get in touch with you and discuss the opportunity.

Should social media content differ between channels?

We specifically create, curate and optimise content for the campaign’s objective and platform in question.

What countries and languages do Purple Goat agency work in and cover?

We are a global agency and so far have worked in 30+ countries! Depending on the client and objectives we source the relevant creators and deliver what is needed.

Why should I use Purple Goat over another marketing agency?

Purple Goat is an international media agency like no other. We pride ourselves on exceptional creative, content and campaigns whilst also confidently representing and communicating a narrative in and around disability in everything we do.

Over 50% of our staff have a disability, and we look to crush outdated misconceptions and fears around disability with all who work with us, whilst upskilling partners and clients on accessibility, inclusion and DE&I in the process.

We bring the authentic lived experience of disability to our creative and our execution – and passionately look to empower the disabled community shine online.
