Welcome back to our weekly recap of marketing news, including exciting social media updates, important disability and inclusion related news, and our favourite marketing campaigns.

If you want to be like some of these brands, and be known for your amazing inclusive work, or you want to start your inclusion journey, contact us today. You can also subscribe to our LinkedIn newsletter to be up-to-date with the latest news.

(1/7) YouTube Announces New AI Updates at MadeOn 2025

We’re always looking forward to the ‘MadeOn’ annual YouTube event, and we’re not surprised that this year it was all about AI.

The video platform is adding a bunch of new AI features, including:

  • ‘Edit with AI’ that will choose the best content from your gallery and edit a video for you
  • New features for YouTube Shorts – being able to add motions, elements and stylise your videos
  • AI-generated video footage for audio-only podcasts, so you can have a video component for your audio content

These features can definitely help with the editing process for creators on the platform, but I wonder if all of them will be that useful or if instead will just create more spammy AI content for people’s feeds. We’ll find out..

(2/7) Spotify and TikTok Launch ‘Big on BookTok’ Hub for Audiobook Fans

If you’re a book lover or work in publishing, you’re going to love this.

Spotify and TikTok are joining forces to create a pilot hub called ‘Big on BookTok‘, where the book recommendations you find on BookTok will have their own place on the audio platform. Using data directly from TikTok, the hub will be updated every two weeks to feature the latest titles making waves in the #BookTok community.

This is a fantastic way to get more people into audiobooks, get them to actually listen/read the books they keep adding to their TBR lists, but also a seamless way to link two platforms that GenZ users and consumers probably use on a daily basis.

(3/7) Unhidden Becomes First Adaptive Brand at London Fashion Week

The adaptive fashion brand joined the official London Fashion Week schedule for the third year in a row!

We’ve talked about Unhidden in the past, and the amazing moves Victoria Jenkins is making in the industry (including her collection with Primark!), so seeing her being part of LFW is incredible.

Adaptive fashion is needed, and bringing it to a stage as big as fashion week, is an amazing accomplishment. We hope this doesn’t stop there, and brands see this as a wake up call to create a more inclusive industry.

(4/7) Premium Skincare Can Be Playful

It isn’t just sleek and minimalistic packaging that defines a premium skincare brand, and Bubble is trying to change this narrative with their bold, colourful and playful branding.

And nothing hits better than using a celebrity as your first brand ambassador to do so, this time with Leighton Meester. The campaign positions skincare as both premium and playful, blending efficacy with a sense of joy. And we’re absolutely here for it 🙌

Your packaging can tell a lot about your brand, but your messaging is one of the most powerful tool to engage a wide range of consumers.

(5/7) ICYMI: How to Market to Neurodivergent Audiences

Brands are becoming more and more aware of their diverse audience, including their Neurodivergent consumers, but how can they engage with them authentically?

In the latest episode of The Purple Goat Podcast, Luke Trower and Bill Urquhart discuss practical and impactful ways brands can market to this big community.

(7/7) Campaign Spotlight: eBay

We’re big fans of a good storytelling campaign at PG, so eBay has to take the campaign spotlight this week with “eBay Stories” 🏆.

The campaign highlights joyful moments and stories behind buying and selling unique and meaningful items on the platform.

Every sale has a story. What’s yours?
