We might be biased, but this is the most exciting industry news you will read about this week!

Strongbow has become the first major alcohol brand in the world to add NaviLens codes into their cans 🙌

We’ve been working with the team at Strongbow for a few years now, from creating an accessible yard at Brighton Pride, to producing inclusive social activations, and now launching accessible packaging led by research. A true example of how inclusive marketing is the smartest choice for businesses!

(2/7) Instagram Updates: Users Can Now Pin Their Own Comments

Mosseri sits on a sofa recording himself, talking about the new Instagram feature which allows you to pin your own comments. Text at the bottom reads: "So we fixed it, and now you can pin your own comments."

Even though it’s a minor update, having the option to pin your own comment, can mean that creators and brands can expand their copy into the comments section, or even engage their audience in a different way (something that we’ve already seen on LinkedIn).

In a platform where brands fight for customers’ attention, this could be an interesting way to do that in a creative way.

(3/7) CapCut Adds LinkedIn Integration

After seeing how much LinkedIn has grown, and how video content and ‘LinkedIn influencers’ are increasing, this addition makes total sense. Now users can export their edited CapCut videos directly on LinkedIn.

It will be interesting to see if this will impact videos’ creativity on the platform, and an even bigger increase of video content.

If you haven’t tried sharing short clips on LinkedIn, this is the perfect moment to start doing it, especially with the latest update of sends and saves insights added to posts on the platform, which will help provide even more feedback as to what content is working best for brands and professionals.

(4/7) ASDA’s New Adaptive Clothing Range

After becoming the first supermarket to offer adaptive clothing for children back in 2023, ASDA’s commitment to inclusion didn’t end there, and their new adult clothing range will be available from Monday, 15th September!

Adaptive clothing ranges have been hard to find in the past, but ASDA, along other trailblazer brands, are changing the industry one campaign at a time. This newest collection will have 28 pieces with features like feeding tube access and metal-free zips for MRI scans.

The fashion industry has a long way to go when it comes to inclusion, but brands like ASDA are creating real change for customers out there 🌟

Some people online seem to think that Instagram is planning to add links to posts 👀

If this becomes true, it will be a great update for brands doing social activations on the app, with a potential increase in CTR.

What do you think about it?

There is always someone or something that just makes your life just ✨. Maybe it’s your work bestie making office days better, or a tool that you use at work that you’re so grateful for.

(7/7) Campaign Spotlight: Nike

Nike is a good example of a brand trying to adapt to a new era and generation of consumers.

In their latest campaign, they’re reintroducing their classic ‘Just Do It’ to ‘Why Do It?’, with the aim to connect with young athletes based on the insight that Gen Z fears trying. Nike is challenging them to choose greatness every time.

But is this campaign also showing Nike’s fear of becoming irrelevant among its youngest customers?
