At this point, most of you should have your holiday campaigns ready to go, but for those of you who are still tweaking and finalising them, Meta has released some tips for maximising its impact during this time of year ๐
And apart from highlighting Meta’s AI-powered Advantage+ ad targeting tools, and giving certain considerations to tick off, the guide also includes a calendar with key dates to keep in mind for your strategy.
However, Meta, we have a bone to pick with you, why didn’t you include the biggest date for the largest minority in the world? ๐
Our advice, make sure you don’t forget about IDPD on the 3rd of December ๐

Brands are engaging with GenZ through unique social content and in-app purchasing options (i see you TikTok Shop), but is there something else marketers could be doing?
Vogue Business and Archrival have cracked the code and found out that young consumers are looking for something more..
Their latest report is a fantastic piece of research on how this generation works, and how brands can create experiences they want to engage with.
Shopping has become a passive activity for many of them due to the rise of doomscrolling, but when a brand creates an experience that feels emotionally positive, they resonate.
And do you know what makes GenZ resonate with your content and your campaigns? Authenticity and inclusion. You know what to do..

Meta updates aren’t usually the most popular, but I have the feeling that this one will be exciting for a lot of you, especially for creators!
Facebook is introducing a new โContent Protectionโ feature, with the aim to protect creations on the platform. All your Reels will be protected and the app will notify you if anyone is stealing your work or using it without authorisation.
But where is the line between copy and inspiration?
We’ll have to wait and see how practical this update ends up being. In theory, it’s a great initiative from Meta, but I wonder if creators might be negatively impacted by it..

Another social media update you will genuinely like?! Oh, this is a good week.
Following TikTok’s introduction of meditation prompts on the app, as well as other mental health initiatives, their latest hub is called ‘Time and Well-being’.
And you know we love it when a product or service has research behind it ๐
The team at TikTok found out that “people who use TikTok are more likely than non-users to be interested in meditation and mindfulness”.
The new feature includes:
Social media is not just about views, but about keeping the viewers safe and healthy, and TikTok gets it ๐

Making accessible content on Instagram is becoming easier (not that it wasn’t that hard before ๐).
Edits, the new Instagram editing app, is introducing some new features, including a caption bulk editor. As we know, adding captions to videos is a must have, but automated captions are not always perfect, and it’s important to edit them so they are correct. This update will make this process seamless and quicker!
Have you tried it yet?!

Last week, Lloyds Banking Group collaborated with Purple Goat on a unique event celebrating Disabled founders and their businesses.
A day full of exciting talks from the some of the most brilliant minds in the community, including Destiny Pinto, Millie Flemington-Clare and the team at Sociability !
Because disabled consumers have an incredibly high spending power, and disability doesn’t mean pity party, disability means business.
Follow our page so you don’t miss all the pictures (and vlog) from the event!
Brands, listen up, this week’s trend is a fantastic opportunity to give some advice to your audience (that will be relatable), or even highlight the benefits of some of the products or services you’re offering!

While this video from Rains isn’t a campaign per se, we had to highlight it this week because it’s not only creative and engaging, but it’s FUN.
And that’s when you get the reach and engagement that you’re looking for.
A great one to get inspiration from for your next video! (while giving credit to the team at Rains ofc).
