Age Without Limits have released new guidelines on how to authentically represent ageing and older people in the creative industries.
Similar to other groups, like the Disabled community, the media needs to do better at portraying older people as well-rounded individuals with diverse interests, and not having their age be the main element of their personality.
This is not just for the benefit of a few, this is for all of us.
You can check out their guidelines report here. And if you’re interested in how to authentically represent other groups, you can check out our guide – that we created in partnership with Channel 4, Initiative and Bupa – on disability representation in media.

A VERY interesting update has just dropped on Instagram.
Reels are becoming more interactive through an Edits update where you can add clickable links to other content or accounts. Once the Reel is live, users can automatically click on those links.
This is a great option for creators to grow on the app (when using the Edits app), but also for social media campaigns increasing traffic to the brand’s account.

‘I Swear’ is a film is based on the true story of John Davidson, who was diagnosed with Tourette’s syndrome in the 1980s and became a prominent advocate for awareness.
This powerful real story has won the audience as it has received six BAFTA nominations at this year’s awards. Including ‘Outstanding British Film’ and ‘Rising Star’ for Robert Aramayo, who plays John in the film.
It’s fantastic not only to see disabilities authentically presented in the media, but even better to see the work celebrated by an entity as big as the BAFTAs!
Good luck to the whole cast and crew 🏆
It’s awards season, and your company could be the one to get an award for this super easy trend (it doesn’t have to be as terrifying as this one).
A great EGC opportunity!

Ahead of the SuperBowl, the team at Duolingo are getting the audience ready for Bad Bunny’s performance by teaching them valuable Spanish words.
We hope they play the ad during the game 👀🇵🇷
