While more AI-generated content is being created online, users are starting to find this influx overwhelming. Pinterest has responded and they have incorporated controls on the app to reduce AI content in feeds.
Even thought this isn’t a perfect solution, it’s a good move from Pinterest to give users the option to reduce (but not eliminate) the AI content on their screens. The platform has already introduced other helpful elements like ‘AI-generated’ tags, to help figure out what content is real and what is not, as this could have a huge impact on creators that focus on Pinterest to share their content.

Pinterest gets a double feature this week for its latest collaboration with the furniture retailer, DFS. They’ve created a new omni-channel campaign called ‘What’s your thing? Collague Quest’, where users will be able to explore interior inspiration through an exciting game.
They have created six collages on the app, where people can hunt for a hidden cut-out clue, which will then lead them to the next one. At the end, they will be able to enter a competition for a change to win their dream DFS sofa (it doesn’t sound bat at all, does it?).
This is a really fun way to combine Pinterest’s features ‘collages’ and ‘shoppable cut-outs’, which will definitely keep consumers excited and engaged! A great inspiration for brands looking for new ways to reach customers this holiday season.

Someone said mental health and we’re sat 🪑😶
YouTube is introducing its latest wellbeing offering, this time tailored to teenagers.
They’ve created a dedicated surface built just for teens, which will show users of a certain age videos from trusted sources, specifically when looking for information related to depression, anxiety, ADHD, and eating disorders, among others.
This is a really exciting move from YouTube, as too often we see misleading and false information being shared online. This shows a comittment to create a healthier online world for everyone 👏

TikTok has announced this year’s award nominees, and it’s not only an incredibly diverse mix of creative people, Disabled creators have also made the list!
It’s great to see TikTok appreciate and celebrate some of the many incredible creators in the community.

This newsletter isn’t complete with a new update from Instagram, and if it’s AI-related, it’s even better.
This time, the team at Meta are introducing AI editing tools for creators. Users will now be able to easily edit images via conversational prompts in-stream. Do you want to change the vibe of your picture? Or maybe remove that random person who is peeking in the background? You’ll be able to do this and much more with the new update.
However, there is always some concern when AI is involved. And users seem to be troubled by the increase in AI-generated content as it comes across as “too fake and disingenuous”.
It will definitely be a handy editing tool, but we’ll see how users react to it in the next few months.
If you haven’t joined in any spooky content this month, this week is your chance!
And apart from all the decor inspiration and Halloween-themed recipes, you can change the narrative a bit and share something that is scary for you, whether it is at work, or in your day to day life 🎃

If you’re a foodie or a cinephile, you’re going to love this campaign.
HelloFresh is collaborating with Paramount+ in a campaign that fuses food, film and television.
How many times have you watched a film and thought “I wish I could have what they’re eating”, or maybe you’ve wanted to organise a themed night of your favourite show? This will give you exactly that.
The campaign called ‘One Menu. A mountain of entertainment’, will feature over 50 recipes inspired by Paramount+ titles, including big titles like Mean Girls or Star Trek.
I don’t know about you, but I’m very excited about this (and it’s not just because my lunch break is approaching), so of course it had to get the campaign spotlight recognition this week!
