Tesco: Sensory Support Boxes

How do you turn an accessibility initiative into something families genuinely connect with?

Tesco wanted to raise awareness of its new Sensory Support Boxes, designed to help neurodivergent customers and their families feel more comfortable and supported while shopping in-store. But rather than simply announcing the initiative, the brand wanted to tell the story in a way that felt authentic, relatable and rooted in lived experience.

Creating accessible shopping experiences is about more than introducing new tools and services. It requires building awareness and trust within the communities they are designed to support.

The campaign needed resonate with neurodivergent families and demonstrate the real-life impact of Sensory Support Boxes, while ensuring the message came from voices with genuine experience.

We partnered with six neurodivergent creators whose lived experiences brought authenticity and credibility to the campaign.

Through story-led content across Instagram, TikTok and Facebook, creators shared personal experiences and demonstrated how the Sensory Support Boxes could help make shopping trips more comfortable and less overwhelming.

By focusing on relatable moments and community-driven storytelling, the campaign transformed an accessibility initiative into a wider conversation around inclusion, neurodiversity and accessible retail experiences.

Authenticity was at the heart of the campaign.

By placing neurodivergent creators and lived experience front and centre, the content resonated with audiences in a meaningful way. Rather than treating accessibility as a feature, the campaign highlighted the real impact inclusive initiatives can have on everyday life.

The result was a creator campaign that built trust, strengthened community engagement and demonstrated Tesco’s commitment to making shopping more accessible for everyone.

Campaign performance exceeded expectations across every metric, proving the power of lived-experience-led storytelling.

By combining creator partnerships with authentic representation, we successfully turned an accessibility initiative into an inclusive community moment that connected with neurodivergent families and raised awareness of more accessible shopping experiences.
